I ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon yesterday and got a new personal best time of 1hour 26 minutes – that’s 10 minutes off my target time, I’m absolutely thrilled! They told me I was the sixth fastest female runner and the quickest female celebrity runner.
I ran the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon yesterday and got a new personal best time of 1hour 26 minutes – that’s 10 minutes off my target time, I’m absolutely thrilled! They told me I was the sixth fastest female runner and the quickest female celebrity runner. It was such a fantastic event and amongthe 15,000 runners were Ben Fogle, Beverley Turner, Antony Costa, Jeremy Edwards and Jackson Williams. Jackson and I both had our Nokia 5800 Comes With Music devices strapped to our arms so people could track our progress throughout the route via the Nokia GPS Sports Tracker application. Over the past few weeks, people have been voting for their favourite motivational tracks on www.runwithmusic.co.uk On the day, Nokia arranged for live bands to play the winning songs along the route, which meant I had covers of Kings of Leon and Black Eyed Peas to spur me along! It was such a great day and the atmosphere was amazing. There were runners in fun costumes, my favourite being a carrot and a runner bean (!) and there were plenty of others cheering us along. The feeling you get when you cross the finish line is incredible - I would recommend it to everyone and can’t wait to do it again next year! |
