I took part in the First Monster Challenge at Loch Ness in Scotland. It was a team event in which each person had to run 10km and cycle 20km. Hundreds of people, of all levels of fitness, had the chance to compete along side professional athletes like Sonia O'Sullivan and Liz McColgan.

I had a great team, Vernon Barker (MD of First Trans Penine Express Group), Andrew Wiggins and Chalotte Raynor. I couldn't believe that we came 3rd and were presented our trophy from Liz McColgan. I thought I was going to end up falling off my bike or even getting lost so I was well pleased! I even met the Loch Ness Monster en route!!
