I have just taken part in a photoshoot for Damart in support of Heart Research UK. The vest top that I am modelling is being sold to raise vital funds for the charity.

I'm really proud to be the face of this campaign and support the fantastic work that Heart Research UK does. By buying this versatile vest top you too will be helping a great cause. Wear it with your jeans, leggings or at the gym. Please help make a difference and buy one on sale from February www.damart.com

Not all photoshoots go to plan and as I went to hug the love heart balloon for an alternative pose, it burst. Yes, I did feel bad as we only had the one balloon, what a pro!

THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone for all your kind words and generous donations.

Well I did it! I completed my 6th London Marathon in 2 hours and 54 minutes, a huge personal best. Thank you so much to everyone for your support. It's times like this that you realise just how many nice people there are out there. All the support on the day from the crowds, cheers of encouragement for every single runner.

I was extremenly proud to be heading a 1200 strong team of runners, all of us trying to raise as much as we can for Cancer Research UK.

My dad Ted is lucky to be a survivor of cancer and has just turned 60 years old. seven years ago we didn't think he would make it to 60. All the money raised will help us to help Cancer Research UK with their fight against cancer.

After finishing the race I headed home on the tube, proudly wearing my medal, chatting to fellow marathoners who were hobbling around wearing their medals with pride too. Half way in to my journey I had to leave the tube and jump in a taxi due to a line closure. As I scanned my oyster card the tube inspector quickly told me I should get the journey refunded as travel that day was free to all runners of the London marathon, what a nice man. I jumped in a black cab and as I got out of the taxi, the driver said to just give him half of the cost for the journey and give the rest to charity for my marathon efforts, another nice man, thank you so much.

I got home and started reading all the wonderful messages from everyone on my justgiving site, only to set me off crying again! My husband made me egg, chips and beans which I devoured. The next thing, the door bell rang and my lovely nighbours (who had also sponsored me, so thank you!) children handed me a big tiramisu, which made me feel like crying again! Thank you mum and dad for the lovely message you posted. Glad you got a free pint in the club dad!

After eating most of the tiramisu it was back to being a mum doing bath time, story time and getting ready for school the next morning. It was a wonderful weekend and I am one of the 37,000 people who are feeling a huge sense of achievement. Will I be back next year.........for sure!
